Riding for hope: 50km for Pancreatic Cancer
Hi, I’m Monica and on Sunday June 1st, I’ll be cycling 50 kilometers in memory of my dad, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in October 2000.
It’s been 25 years, and yet survival rates for pancreatic cancer remain devastatingly low. We need to do better — for patients, for families, for future generations.
This ride is personal. It’s for my dad. It’s for everyone who's lost someone too soon, and for those still fighting. Every kilometer I ride is a reminder of the strength, courage, and love he showed — and a call for change.
My goal is to raise $500 with all proceeds going to Pancreatic Cancer Canada. The funds will support research and support for those affected by this disease.
Why it matters:
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers
Most cases are diagnosed too late
Research funding is critically under-supported
How you can help:
Donate what you can — every dollar helps push us closer to a cure
Share this page to spread the word
Ride with me in spirit
Thank you for reading, supporting, and remembering. Together, we can fuel hope and fund a future where pancreatic cancer isn’t a death sentence.
In memory of my dad — and with hope for what’s ahead,
Monica
