Waheed's 2025 7 Day Ride for PCC
One pedal stroke at a time to make a difference. Passion with purpose come together for my 4th consecutive year participating in the 7 Days bike ride in support of Pancreatic Cancer Canada (PCC), a 1,100+km journey from May 26 - June 1, 2025 in Southern Ontario.
This cause is deeply personal to me as I lost both my father-in-law and my mom to pancreatic cancer in a span of 12 months in 2020 to 2021. And my best friend (to brain cancer) during this same period, whose last home was in Ontario. Their battles inspired me to take action, and I’ve been humbled by the incredible fundraising support over these years. And every dollar raised for this ride goes to PCC. Together, we’ve contributed to advancing research, improving patient care, and offering hope to families facing this devastating disease.
The ride itself is a test of endurance - up to eight hours of cycling each day averaging over 160kms per day - but it’s nothing compared to the struggles faced by those living with pancreatic cancer. With survival rates still ridiculously low, every pedal stroke is a move closer to changing that reality.
Last year alone this event, with a small group of focused cyclists and a committed team of volunteer support, raised over $317,000 and I’m proud to be part of a community that has collectively raised more than $1.9 million since its inception. This year, as in the past, I’m riding not only in memory of the loved ones but also for every family touched by this disease.
Once again, I invite you to join me in making a difference. Your donation will directly fund life-saving research and vital patient support services. Whether large or small, every contribution brings us closer to better treatments and outcomes for those affected by pancreatic cancer. Together we can honour those we have lost and create a brighter future for those still fighting.
Thank You…for your continued generosity, encouragement and being part of my 7 Day team…it means the world to me.
Onwards!
