On the June 1st weekend, I will participate in a cycling fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer Canada. Over the weekend I will cycle over 260 km to increase awareness about pancreatic cancer and to raise much needed funds to help raise the rate of pancreatic cancer survival. 

Did you know that pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers? Only 10% of patients survive 5 years. It is the third leading cause of cancer mortality yet it continues to be underfunded in research. 

My wife Sue was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 7 years ago. Luckily it was caught early and the "Whipple" operation saved her life. Most are not so fortunate.
