I am raising money for pancreatic cancer research to support my brother-in-law, Arnold, who completed treatment for pancreatic cancer in May 2024 and in memory of my mother,  Christine.  Arnold is 57, married, with three adult kids and raising a 6 year old. I will be riding for 7 days  combining bikepacking/camping and 40 to 100km days around coast islands in British Columbia. Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal of $3000.00. Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight for survival.

7 Days in May, a cycling event and fundraiser, was founded in 2012 to increase awareness about pancreatic cancer and to raise funds to help find a cure for this deadly affliction. Every dollar donated goes to research and riders cover their own registration and expenses. The effort of riding is significant,  but dwarfed by Arnold’s daily battle.

A co-worker, LP,  recently beat pancreatic cancer by getting a diagnosis before any symptoms were present. He had an ultrasound for another issue when they noticed the mass on his pancreas  and he was operated immediately.  More research will provide the means for early detection and thus, better outcomes.
