In 2012, my family and I started the 7 Days cycling event to honour the incredible life and legacy of my mother, Lorraine Townley. When pancreatic cancer took her from us far too soon, we knew we had to do something. Not just in her memory, but for the thousands of families still facing this devastating disease.

While I won’t be on the road for this year’s ride, my heart is with every cyclist, donor, and supporter who continues to move this event and this mission forward. The legacy we built together has now raised over $1.9 million for pancreatic cancer research and support services. That number is more than just dollars—it is the momentum we need to change this cancer from a death sentence to a survivable disease.
